New Hair Do

I decided to try "Tree Braids" aka Invisibles. As there seem to be a couple of ways to do them as it was explained to me, you hair is started in a micro size fashion and then the attached hair is left free while your hair continues to be braided. When a braid is done it should look like a tree where your hair is primary the main branch with branches of hair coming from it. You can use nearly any kind of synthetic or human hair and the care is just like that for microbraids. I will say it took just as long but as micros but didn't seeme to hurt as much. My whole head wasn't radiating afterward. I cut my braids a bit once I got home because it was just too much hair but I will say it feels light, way lighter than micros, and still feels this way. I have the wet and wavy hair and have been able to style in many ways from up dos to a pony tail. Depending upon how fast your hair grows you may need to get the edges redone before the rest of your hair. I also haven't had any braid incidents of loss, unraveling, etc. I use a very light moisturizer on my scalp and a braid spray. Washing must be done gently to avoid tangling the hair and I use a little conditioner on the ends of the braided human hair.

And it works just as well, if not better (IMO). ETA: Here it is - courtesy of naturallycurly.com 3 STICKS COCOA BUTTER 1/2 OF JAR OF BEESWAX 2oz (this is not a lot so don't get scared) 1 32 oz TUB PROCLAIM CURL ACTIVATOR Begin by taking the cocoa butter sticks and placing them in a bowl. Scoop out 1/2 jar of bees wax and place it in the same bowl. Microwave bees wax and cocoa butter until they are liquid. Use an other larger bowl to put the curl activator it. Leave some curl activator inside of the jar for later. Take liquid wax and cocoa butter and pour it into the bowl with the curl activator. Mix vigorously with a spoon. what you will first get while mixing these the two may look like cellulite but be persistant and keep mixing until the mixture looks exactly like vanilla pudding then mix in remander of activator gel in the jar. If you do not microvave the bees wax well enough it will clump up when you add it to the cold gel activator it may bead up and not allow you to get the perfectly smooth consistancy that you want. If this happens put the whole solution in the microwave for 4 minutes then beging to mix again. after about 2 minutes of mixing add back in the curl activator you left out from before and it should begin to look like pudding. You can apply to wet hair and style using the shingling process or just as you wish.ingrediants for comparison Miss Jessie's Pudding Water, vegetable glycerin, aloe vera gel, carbomer, tocopherol acetate, sweet alomond oil, milk protien, Vitamin E, panthenol, pectin, sweet orange oil, fragrance. vs.Substitute Product Water Aqua , Glycerin , Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein , Hyaluronic Acid , Panthenol , Oleth-20 , Carbomer , Triethanolamine , Benzophenone-4 , Disodium EDTA , DMDM Hydantoin Fragrance Parfum, beeswax, coco butter I add in almond oil but I use that anyway as a carrier oil for my scalp. It costs way under $10 to make and last for about 2 months. You probably could just mix up a bootleg batch of Miss Jessie's - it looks like its just vegetable glycerin, a bottle of aloe vera gel, and some oils.
